The security chief of a Mexican border town has decided to ban women from wearing miniskirts, and to impose fines on men who parade the streets of his city in female attire.

Javier Agudelo is a retired general and now the top security officer in Ciudad Acuña, a city of 140,000 residents across the Texas border. The deputy chief of Operations of Acuña Municipal Police, Rodolfo Castillo Montes, was pointed out as the author of the murder of Jose Eduardo Moreira Rodriguez by the Attorney General of Coahuila.

According to preliminary criminal inquiry A-5/1009/2012 of the state agency, the police chief tricked the victim to go to the place where criminals kidnapped him and later ended his life.

Others involved are Victor Carrizales and José Trinidad Landeros, Municipal Police officers from Acuña City.

The three officers are detained for aggravated and premeditated murder.

Saltillo – Staff of the Coahuila’s Attorney Office and Federal Police transported 39 officers of Acuña city to Saltillo city, satate capital. The 39 were on duty on the day and time of the events in which Jose Eduardo Moreira Rodriguez, son of former Gov. Humberto Moreira, was killed.

It was reported that the 39 policemen worked in Fundadores Delegation, the sector where the body of the victim was found.

The detainees were transferred on Saturday October 6 at 18:00 aboard two passenger buses and will take reliability, polygraph, and drug tests.

MEXICO CITY (AP) — The fatal shooting of the nephew of the governor of the violence-torn border state of Coahuila came hours after the nephew of one of Mexico’s most-feared drug bosses was killed by state police, authorities said Friday.

Coahuila state Attorney General Homero Ramos said revenge “could be a hypothesis” for the slaying of 25-year-old Jose Eduardo Moreira, whose body was discovered Wednesday inside his pickup truck on a rural road on the outskirts of Ciudad Acuna, a town across the border from Del Rio, Texas.
