More than 12,000 marijuana plants were discovered and eradicated on private land used for cattle grazing near the Bailey Flats region Thursday, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
The plants had a value of more than $14.5 million, the office said.
No arrests were made during the the 12-hour operation conducted by the Madera County Narcotic Enforcement Team and local law enforcement. The raid extended late into Thursday night. The mission included removal of the plants and deadly chemicals found near the operation site.
